Overview

AgeLook is a free AI age estimator that runs primarily in your browser. We designed the product so your photos do not need to be uploaded to our servers for age estimation.

Photos and camera access

When you upload a photo or capture a selfie, the image is held temporarily in browser memory (for example, via object URLs) so we can show a preview and run inference. Photos are not saved to localStorage or sessionStorage, and they are not sent to our servers as part of the age estimation flow.

Camera permission is requested only after you choose “Take a Selfie.” Camera tracks are stopped when you close the camera or leave the page.

On-device AI models

To estimate age, the app downloads pretrained model weight files (face detection, facial landmarks, and age estimation) from this website into your browser. Those downloads are model assets, not your photos. Inference runs locally using @vladmandic/face-api.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (gtag.js) to understand aggregate site usage, such as page views and general traffic. Google may set cookies or similar technologies and process data according to its own policies. Analytics is separate from age estimation: your photos are not uploaded to Google Analytics as part of the tool.

Hosting and logs

Like most websites, hosting providers may process standard technical requests (for example, page loads and model file downloads). We do not intentionally collect or log the contents of your photos.
